Team Hosting Policy

Middlegate Paranormal Experiences Premium Paranormal Venue Hosting Agreement: 25 Middlegate, The Headland, Hartlepool

This Agreement governs the organisation, management, and hosting of ticketed paranormal investigation events (“Event(s)”) conducted at 25 Middlegate, Headland, Hartlepool (“Venue”).

This Agreement is entered into between:

Talie Norfolk, acting for G.R.I.T and on behalf of and in agreement with Pete Noble, trading as Middlegate Paranormal Experiences (“Property Manager”) together forming the authorised parties for the purposes of this Agreement. 

and

The Investigation Team / Event Organiser (“Organiser”).

By confirming, advertising, promoting, selling tickets for, or proceeding with an Event booking, the Organiser acknowledges and agrees to be legally bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Booking & Venue Authority

1.1 All Event booking requests must be submitted through the designated booking and coordination administrator acting on behalf of the Property Manager.
1.2 Upon confirmation of a booking, the Event may be published and promoted via the official booking platform and associated marketing channels.
1.3 The Organiser shall be identified as the hosting Investigation Team responsible for the operation and delivery of the Event.
1.4The Property Manager retains absolute discretion and control over the Venue calendar and reserves the right to refuse, amend, suspend, reschedule, or cancel any booking where reasonably necessary.
1.5Nothing contained within this Agreement shall confer upon the Organiser any tenancy, leasehold interest, licence of occupation, or proprietary rights in respect of the Venue beyond the agreed Event duration.

 

2. Commercial Structure

2.1
Each Event shall be subject to a venue and administration fee as agreed with the Property Administration Team. Such fee includes venue provision, booking coordination, operational management, and associated administrative services.
2.2
A non-refundable deposit shall be payable upon booking in order to secure the Event date. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than one (1) calendar month prior to the Event date.
2.3
Maximum attendance capacity shall be limited to twenty (20) persons per Event, including Investigation Team members unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.4
The recommended operational supervision ratio shall not exceed three (3) attendees per one (1) Investigation Team member.

 

3. Insurance Requirements & Liability

3.1
The Organiser shall remain solely responsible and legally liable for the operation, management, supervision, and conduct of the Event, including all Investigation Team members, guests, attendees, contractors, or representatives attending under their booking.
3.2
The Organiser must maintain valid Public Liability Insurance with a minimum indemnity limit of £5,000,000, covering the Organiser, Investigation Team members, guests, and all attendees participating in the Event.
3.3
Proof of insurance documentation must be supplied upon request and prior to commencement of the Event.

 

4. Active Renovation Site Acknowledgement

4.1
The Organiser acknowledges and accepts that the Venue is currently undergoing renovation works and may constitute an active building site.
4.2
The Organiser accepts full responsibility for ensuring all attendees are appropriately supervised and managed in accordance with the operational condition of the Venue.
4.3
No tools, materials, coverings, fixtures, fittings, structural elements, or renovation equipment may be moved, altered, removed, tampered with, or interfered with without prior written consent from the Property Manager.

 

5. Conduct & Operational Restrictions

The following activities are strictly prohibited unless expressly authorised in writing by the Property Manager:
  • Consumption of alcohol;
  • Open flames, including candles or incense;
  • Smoke or haze machines;
  • Drilling, fixing, attaching, or securing equipment to walls, ceilings, floors, or fixtures;
  • Removal, relocation, or interference with property materials;
  • Live streaming, commercial broadcasting, or media transmission without prior written approval.
5.1
Noise levels must be controlled at all times with due regard to neighbouring residential properties and the surrounding area.
5.2
All arrivals, departures, and movement in and around the Venue during late hours must be conducted respectfully and quietly.
5.3
The Property Manager reserves the immediate right to suspend, halt, or terminate an Event where conduct gives rise to safety concerns, neighbour complaints, reputational harm, unlawful behaviour, or risk of property damage.

 

6. Media & Intellectual Property

6.1
The Organiser shall retain ownership of original imagery, recordings, photographs, audio, and video footage captured during the Event. 
6.2
The Organiser grants the Property Manager and Property Owner a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use such media for lawful promotional, marketing, advertising, and Venue-related purposes.
6.3
Media content must not portray the Venue in a defamatory, misleading, malicious, dangerous, or structurally damaging context.

 

7. Attendee Declarations

7.1
All attendees, including Investigation Team members, must complete any required attendee waiver, declaration, disclaimer, or health and safety documentation prior to entry.
7.2
The Property Manager reserves the right to refuse entry to any individual who has failed to complete the required documentation.

 

8. Nature of Event

8.1
All Events are provided strictly for entertainment purposes only.
8.2
No guarantee, warranty, or representation of paranormal activity, spiritual communication, supernatural occurrence, or evidential outcome is made or implied.
8.3
The Organiser must not advertise, imply, or promote guaranteed paranormal outcomes or misleading claims relating to Event results.

 

9. Indemnity

9.1
The Organiser agrees to fully indemnify and hold harmless the Property Owner, Property Manager, Venue representatives, and associated parties against any and all claims, actions, proceedings, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising directly or indirectly from:
  • Participation in the Event;
  • Alleged paranormal or supernatural phenomena;
  • Emotional or psychological distress;
  • Physical injury or accident occurring during the Event;
  • Negligence or misconduct of attendees or Investigation Team members;
  • Breach of this Agreement by the Organiser.

 

10. Cancellation, Breach & Reassignment

10.1
All bookings, cancellations, deposits, refunds, transfers, and non-attendance matters shall be governed in accordance with the GRIT Paranormal Investigations Refunds, Cancellations & Non-Attendance Policy in force at the time of booking.
10.2
Deposits and administration fees paid to secure Event dates shall remain strictly non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10.3
Where cancellation occurs more than fourteen (14) days prior to the Event date, the Property Manager or GRIT Paranormal Investigations may, at their sole discretion, permit transfer of the booking value to one alternative date within three (3) calendar months, subject to availability.
10.4
The Property Manager and/or GRIT Paranormal Investigations reserve the absolute right to suspend, refuse, amend, or cancel any Event where there is reasonable belief of:
  • breach of these Terms and Conditions;
  • health or safety concerns;
  • reputational risk;
  • neighbour or public complaints;
  • unlawful conduct; or
  • operational necessity.
10.5
Where an Event has been publicly advertised, substantially sold, or fully booked, and the conduct or actions of the Organiser reasonably justify removal from the booking, the Property Manager and/or GRIT Paranormal Investigations reserve the right to reassign or substitute the Event to an alternative Investigation Team in order to fulfil customer booking obligations.
10.6
Any reassignment under Clause 10.5 shall not constitute breach of contract, and no compensation, damages, reimbursement, or loss of earnings shall be payable to the original Organiser.
10.7
The Property Manager, Property Owner, and GRIT Paranormal Investigations shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, reputational, or financial losses arising from cancellation, reassignment, refusal of booking, or enforcement of these Terms.

 

11. Professional Standards

11.1
The Organiser and all Investigation Team members must maintain professional and respectful conduct before, during, and after the Event.
11.2
Defamation, harassment, interference with other Events, social media misconduct, reputational damage, or behaviour likely to negatively impact the Venue, Property Owner, Property Manager, or associated businesses may result in immediate termination of current and future bookings.
11.3
The Property Manager reserves the right to refuse future bookings where professional standards are not maintained.

By confirming a booking date, the Organiser acknowledges and agrees to the above terms.
